User Guide
1. Creating a Tournament (Organizer)
- Log in using your Google account or create an account by entering an email, name and password.
- It is also possible to start and participate in a tournament without logging in.
- Select the tournament type, number of courts and create a lobby by clicking "Add players".
- Points determines the number of points played in each round for Americano (e.g. 32 points).
- Bonus is extra points awarded to the winning pair of a match in addition to their collected points (e.g., 3 bonus points for a win). This gives a victory greater weight and reduces the likelihood of tied points in the final results.
- Show Leaderboard shows players the live leaderboard during mid-rounds. If unchecked, only the final tournament standings will be displayed.
- A 5-character room code and a QR code will be displayed on the screen, which players can use to join the tournament.
2. Joining as a Player
- Players can join by scanning the QR code, using button "Join Tournament" or by going to
play.exillery.net/join and entering the tournament code.
- Players can join either as a guest (name only), with Google account or via a separately created account.
- The organizer can also manually enter some or all of the players.
3. Lobby and Player Management
- The organizer can see the joined players in real-time.
- If needed, the player order can be changed using drag-and-drop, or players can be removed from the list.
- To ensure more balanced and exciting matches, it is recommended to drag and sort the players in the list by skill level (stronger players at the top).
- A minimum of 4 players is required to start the tournament.
4. Tournament Flow and Scoring
- The system automatically generates the rounds and assigns players to courts according to the selected format.
- After each match ends the organizer enters the scores.
- The leaderboard updates in real-time based on the entered points and is displayed to the organizer.
- If the show leaderboard option is checked, the live leaderboard will also be displayed to the players in real-time.
